ALPHA-CLASS XG-1 STAR WING "ASSAULT GUNBOAT"

From the expanded STAR WARS universe, the gunboat appeared in the X-WING series of games, specifically the second game TIE FIGHTER. These games were some of my favorite as a kid. I didn't own a joystick so basically needed to use the keyboard and mouse to control everything and man was it a joy to learn the game's vehicles inside and out. Specifically the gunboat always fascinated me, as it's design pulls heavingly from the Lambda shuttle design and always had a very cool wing configuration. Armed with both lasers and ion cannons, shields and hyperdrive capability, this starfighter could easily stand toe to toe with any X-Wing. Was also nice to model it so that it could be 3D printable, an added bonus as I really wanted to finally put together a model kit of this cool starfighter.
