Hello and welcome. I am David Espinoza, a Senior Environment Artist, Lead Environment Artist, CG Generalist, and Unreal Engine artist with nearly 20 years of production experience across AAA games, feature film visual effects, streaming, television, and commercial CG.

My work centers on production-ready environments, props, surfaces, lighting moods, layout, look development, and real-time assets. I care about images that feel cinematic and purposeful, but I also care about the practical side of production: gameplay readability, performance, clean handoff, and pipeline discipline.

Across studios including Industrial Light & Magic, Blind Squirrel Games, Pixomondo, Obsidian Entertainment, Digital Dimension, Impossible Objects, and others, I have contributed to projects such as The Mandalorian, Rogue One, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, Avengers: Endgame, Ready Player One, The Creator, Ahsoka, Warcraft, Dungeon Siege III, Neverwinter Nights 2, and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II.

I have also served in lead and mentoring roles, helping coordinate environment and generalist work, guide junior and mid-level artists, support vendors, and keep large-scale asset and shot work moving toward polished final imagery. Whether the work is rendered for film or running in engine, I bring traditional art instincts, technical problem-solving, and a lifelong love of world building to the process.
