Area Maps
When I joined the project as an intern, development was already well underway, with many of the core areas in place and needing their maps finalized. I was tasked with taking the existing area maps and building out surrounding visuals that added context and interest to each location. This involved painting elements such as starfields, jungles, and distant cityscapes to better support the environments and give the areas a more complete sense of place. The goal was to enhance what was already there in a way that felt relevant and cohesive, while adding subtle detail and depth where possible.
