World Map

Early in my career, I had the opportunity to paint the world map for the game, which was an especially exciting assignment. I started by blocking out the overall layout and then painted the map to align with the story and design requirements. There was a lot of back-and-forth with both the art and design teams to refine locations, scale, and readability, and over time it evolved into a large, detailed map that tied the world together. As a nice bonus, the map was later produced as a printed cloth version for the game’s special edition, which made for a great keepsake.

Cutscene Screens

To help advance the narrative, the team decided to use a series of still images paired with voice-over to present the game’s cutscenes. I was responsible for creating these images and ensuring they supported the story beats effectively. My approach was to stage and pose in-game models and graphics, then apply light paint-over work to enhance clarity and mood where needed. Looking back, the execution is fairly rough by today’s standards, but it served its purpose well at the time. These assets are difficult to track down now, though I was able to locate one of the more recognizable images, along with an unused piece.
