I have been running a metroid website since for sometime now, filling it with original written bios on everything that appears in the games. One of the other things this allows me to do is create artwork for those very same articles.

The Mother Brain was based off of images from the official Nintendo pictures. Super Metroid was always my favorite of the games so I used that for alot of the source reference.

Upon the site there is a section devoted to just the lifecycle of the Metroids, from which I have begun to create original images for each of the lifecyles.

Featured here are the Metroid, it's egg, and 2 of it's variants (The Alpha Metroid and Fission Metroids.)
