During the couse of the movie, the film's antagonist cause a massive distraction by gaining control of the city's traffic system turning all traffic lights to read green. This of course causes alot of damage to the motorists driving the streets.

All cars in this shot were made digitally and then animated to crash into each right as the camera revealed them which required good timing. Cg tire streaks were also added to help ground the cars in the ground as well.

Lighting was matched to the original plates and then handed off to comp for final dialing in. My favorite is the big rig side swiping cars as well as a large bus towards the end that plows into other vehicles.
